Pumpkin Shaped Cheese Ball - SUPER EASY!

It is hard to believe but Thanksgiving is next week! Yikes!

This time of year, my family spends more time inside because days are shorter and colder…brrr... We like to build a fire, play games and have family movie nights. Friends and relatives come to visit so having easy, but festive snack options is a life saver!

Here is one of my favorite snacks that can be thrown together last minute. It is also a "crowd pleaser" and appeals to both adults and kids. It can be shaped into a pumpkin, a Christmas tree/ornament, Shamrock, etc. I usually serve it with crackers and apples but you can add celery, carrots, pretzels or whatever your crowd likes.


2 ¼ Cups of Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

1 8 oz Package Plain Cream Cheese

1 8 oz Package Chive and Onion or Garlic Cream Cheese Spread

1 Celery stalk (for pumpkin stem)

Crackers/Apples/Celery/Carrots for serving


1.) Mix together 8 oz package of cream cheese, 8 oz container Chive & Onion Cream Cheese and 2 Cups of Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese by hand or with a mixer.

2.) Cut a piece of plastic wrap that is big enough to completely wrap your cheese ball and sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on the plastic wrap.

3.)Next, scoop the cream cheese mixture into the middle of the plastic wrap. (You are going to coat the outside of the cream cheese mixture with the shredded cheese) I use the plastic wrap to help me shape the mixture into a ball as well as coat the outside with the shredded cheese.

4.)Place the celery stalk in the center of the cheese ball and wrap up with the plastic wrap.

5.)Next take a knife and press it into the outside of the ball vertically several places to make indentations to resemble a pumpkin.

You can serve immediately or chill for up to 2 days before serving.
